Wireless DMX transmission over distances for professional lighting control is a sought-after solution, especially in architectural facade lighting and controlling dynamic battery-powered light objects, where cable routing is challenging. In such cases, wireless devices using our patented beDMX standard based on Bluetooth 5.0 are indispensable. Despite a lower speed compared to wired DMX (512 Kbps), transceivers that combine transmitter and receiver functions are easily configurable, pairable, and form flexible networks. Reliability of the connection is ensured by dynamic adaptive hopping, which continuously scans the spectrum, performing 1600 hops per second to find optimal frequencies and adapt to interference in the 2.4 GHz band—unlike fixed-frequency systems, this technology is immune to suppression.
All devices guarantee stable operation at voltages up to 305 V AC, and an innovative fanless cooling system extends their lifespan due to the absence of openings in the housing.
Wireless DMX transceivers, transmitter and receiver in one device
RadioGate
RadioGate is a series of wireless DMX transceivers for controlling lighting equipment compatible with the DMX512 protocol. Devices in this series provide bidirectional wireless DMX communication for up to 4 universes and support RDM (ANSI E1.20) for remote diagnostics, control, and configuration via a web interface, available for models 2D2C and 4D2C. The devices operate in the 2.4 GHz ISM band with a transmission range of up to 300 meters with a standard antenna or up to 1500 meters with a specialized antenna. Included is a detachable omnidirectional Bluetooth antenna with an SMA connector (beDMX output).
The transceivers are very lightweight, each weighing only 0.85 kg.
The devices can operate in both transmit and receive modes, with the mode selectable via buttons on the housing, eliminating the need for complex software. Pairing devices is as simple as holding the "Setup" button. Up to 63 receivers can be connected to one transmitter.
RadioGate can operate on AC or DC power depending on the modification, allowing the use of a wall outlet or a portable power source, respectively. The power type depends on the modification you choose.
For protection of DMX ports from electromagnetic interference and current surges, galvanic isolation is provided.
LED indicators on the device housing visually display current processes through blinking and glowing. In transmitter mode, the "LINK" and "STATUS" indicators inform about the connection status, presence or absence of DMX signal, receiver search, and readiness to save a new configuration. In receiver mode, the LEDs indicate connection and communication status with the transmitter, as well as connection to the transmitter in network setup mode.
RadioGate is available in Arma and Solid housings. Let’s consider the advantages of each.

For indoor installations or protected outdoor areas with moderate temperatures, where the priority is the convenience of XLR connections and the presence of two DMX ports, choose RadioGate Solid.
RadioGate Plus
RadioGate Plus is a unique hybrid device that combines the functions of a wireless DMX transceiver and a multi-protocol Ethernet/Art-Net to DMX converter with the ability to perform reverse conversion. The device can operate as a converter and simultaneously transmit data over the air using the beDMX protocol based on Bluetooth 5.0 in the 2.4 GHz band. RadioGate Plus can interact with both similar four-channel and single-channel devices.
Convenient parameter setting is done through an intuitive web interface or using buttons on the housing. This hybrid solution combines the capabilities of a DMX splitter, booster, and wireless transceiver, supporting bidirectional RDM (ANSI E1.20) data transmission and a wide range of protocols, including DMX512, RDM, ArtNet (I-IV), sACN (Draft, Release), KiNet (v1, v2), and RTTrPL.
RadioGate Plus devices can be used as standalone ArtNet-DMX converters or splitters for signal distribution.
RadioGate Plus has all the advantages of communication and transmission inherent in RadioGate devices, including support for various power options depending on the modification: from 110-250 VAC mains, 12-24 VDC. Additionally, power can be supplied via PoE, transmitting power over Ethernet. Two beDMX ports ensure reliable wireless communication.
The wireless gateway supports various DMX stream merging modes (HTP, LTP, AUTO, PRIORITY, BACKUP, TRIGGER, X-FADE) and is equipped with two Ethernet ports (10/100 Base-TX) with RJ-45/etherCON connectors.
The RadioGate Plus series is available in two housing options: Arma and Solid, differing primarily in operating conditions and protection degree. RadioGate Plus Arma is designed for flawless outdoor operation thanks to IP65 protection and an extended temperature range (from -40 to +70 °C). RadioGate Plus Solid, optimized for indoor use, has a lower protection class of IP44 and a smaller operating temperature range (from 0 to +60 °C) compared to Arma. Both housing types feature silk-screen printing with port and control element designations, ensuring convenience throughout the entire service life. The uniqueness of RadioGate Plus’s hybrid capabilities makes it an exclusive solution from Sundrax on the market.
LEDGate
LEDGate is a series of wireless DMX LED controllers designed to control LED equipment such as LEDs and strips via the DMX512 protocol using a beDMX transceiver.
These controllers can manage four PWM LED channels and support both DMX512 and RDM (ANSI E1.20), providing wireless data transmission via the beDMX protocol. For precise dimming, 8- and 16-bit control modes are available.
LEDGate is ideal for theatrical scenery and similar applications, guaranteeing independent short-circuit protection on each channel. Power is supplied from a DC source. The controllers automatically switch between DMX512 and beDMX control modes to ensure reliability. Equipped with a wireless beDMX interface, they operate in the 2.4 GHz band and have LED indication of DMX/BeDMX activity. The devices provide direct connection to LED equipment, smooth light adjustment, and DMX stream indication.
