<div class="raw-html-embed"><p>Canada, Quebec As part of the project to modernize the lighting of Jardin Jeanne-d'Arc park in Quebec, Canada, we joined forces with the Canadian company <strong>XYZ Technologies</strong>, which carried out the installation. The 2023 project is located next to the Plains of Abraham – the site of a historical battle. We created a historical-technological connection, introducing equipment in the Canadian region closely connected with Europe, reflecting high technological heritage.</p>

<p><strong>Our Solution</strong> <strong>In the park</strong>, the wireless RadioGate system was applied, capable of transmitting DMX signal in any conditions. This solution makes it possible to quickly create complex lighting scenarios and significantly reduces overall expenses due to the rejection of labor-intensive wired infrastructure.</p>

<p><strong>Arma</strong> – this is a necessity for the humid continental climate of Quebec with cold winters and humid summers. The RadioGate Arma <strong>housing (IP 65)</strong> is sealed and made from milled aluminum alloy.</p>

<p>Each RadioGate can operate as a transmitter or receiver. The patented beDMX protocol instantly switches to free frequencies for stable DMX transmission without signal loss. RDM for remote configuration simplifies the startup and maintenance of the network. Galvanic isolation for protection against interference and resistance to voltage surges up to 305 volts makes the transceivers not only universal but also incredibly resilient.</p>

<p>Achieved Advantages The application of RadioGate Arma provided the customer with increased reliability and flexibility in placing lighting equipment, which is critically important for cultural heritage sites. The sturdy housing and patented, unique protocol guarantee stable operation without interruptions in extreme climatic conditions.</p>

<p>The Teatro, renowned for its vibrant cultural performances and historical significance, recently underwent a technological upgrade to enhance its lighting and stage management systems. The core of this upgrade was the installation of the RadioGate Plus Solid system. This cutting-edge equipment integrates several critical functionalities into a single robust unit, optimizing performance and reliability for the theater's demanding environment. Delivery was completed in 2020 through our partner, Sonotec Bolivia.</p><p>The WiFi configuration, depending on the country and local firmware limitations, can lead to DMX signal instability. Our wireless equipment, however, operates on a proprietary beDMX protocol, which uses adaptive frequency hopping (AFH). Unlike standard wireless devices that are prone to interference in the 2.4 GHz range, Sundrax equipment constantly analyzes the radio spectrum, automatically detecting and avoiding noisy channels. This ensures continuous and stable DMX signal transmission, which is critically important for professional theatrical productions at the Teatro Municipal Alberto Saavedra Pérez.</p><h2>Equipment Used: RadioGate Plus Solid</h2><h3>All-in-One Wireless DMX Transceivers</h3><p>The wireless DMX transceivers enabled seamless communication between lighting control consoles and fixtures, eliminating the need for extensive cabling. Its events include choral performances and organ concerts. The church features a distinctive organ built in 1708 by Matthias Dropa. This instrument, unique worldwide, was once played by Johann Sebastian Bach.</p><p>Rather than viewing the historical significance of the building and its furnishings as an obstacle, we treated it as an opportunity to develop a refined and respectful integration. We incorporated a Digital Multiplex receiver into the organ to highlight with lighting not only the space, its columns, and vaults but also the instrument itself, which frequently serves as the focal point for musical events at St. Michael's.</p><h3>Equipment Used</h3><p><a href="https://entertainment.sundrax.com/products/radiogate-solid">RadioGate Solid </a>wireless Digital Multiplex transceivers</p><p>Wireless Digital Multiplex transceivers like the RadioGate series are well-suited for historical structures because they enable lighting control without the need for cable installation. The RadioGate units deliver reliable bidirectional communication across four Digital Multiplex universes. With support for the Remote Device Management protocol, they enable remote diagnostics and configuration of fixtures, which streamlines maintenance and operation.</p><p>The system functioned as a straightforward setup solution:</p><ul><li>The transmitter was positioned adjacent to other wireless equipment, such as Astera light-emitting diode fixtures, behind a substantial stone column.</li><li>Both the transmitter and receiver were connected directly to power sources, establishing a stable link immediately.</li><li>The receiver, installed 50 meters away within the organ, operated without any signal disruptions.</li></ul><p>All RadioGate devices can function in either transmit or receive mode, allowing for rapid deployment of wireless Digital Multiplex lighting systems under various conditions. Configuration is handled directly via buttons on the device housings.</p><p>This project employed the direct current-powered version of RadioGate, connected to the church's existing electrical system without requiring additional converters.&nbsp;An alternating current version is also available.</p><h3>Benefits Achieved</h3><ul><li>Heritage preservation: Wireless technology addressed the lighting needs without altering the historical walls or interior. This approach is critical for a site like St. Michael's Church, where maintaining the original ambiance and operational functionality is essential, ensuring no interference with weddings, baptisms, or other services.</li><li>Rapid installation and adaptability: The wireless Digital Multiplex system reduced setup time while permitting quick adjustments to lighting arrangements. This flexibility supports tailoring the lighting design to meet the specific demands of different events.</li><li>Dependability and scalability: The durable build and consistent signal transmission of RadioGate reduced the likelihood of equipment failures, supporting seamless and professional event execution. <h2>Alps Lighting Project, France</h2><p>In the 2023 Alps lighting project in France, Sundrax Entertainment Lighting deployed the RadioGate Arma product to improve lighting control. This setup provided reliable and effective illumination throughout the mountainous terrain of the Alps.</p><p>The Alps serve as a major hub for tourism and winter sports, but the region also presents a challenging mountain environment where installing cables is highly difficult. Lighting systems must be designed and maintained with the potential for complicated repairs in mind.</p><p>For projects like this Alps lighting installation, Sundrax developed rugged wireless transceivers known as the RadioGate Wireless Signal Transceiver in the Arma enclosure. These units were delivered through the French distributor Algam. This marked one of the initial collaborative efforts where the client needed dependable performance, Ingress Protection-rated enclosures, and reliable operation over extended distances.</p><h2>RadioGate Arma: beDMX Protocol over Bluetooth 5.0 with a Sealed Enclosure for Harsh Environments</h2><p>The RadioGate units enable bidirectional wireless transmission of Digital Multiplex (DMX) signals in the 2.4 gigahertz frequency band, supporting up to four DMX universes. The 2D2C and 4D2C models also function as bidirectional converters for DMX, Art-Net, and Streaming Architecture for Control Networks (sACN) protocols. These devices support merging of DMX streams. Each RadioGate can operate as either a transmitter or receiver, with the mode configurable via buttons on the enclosure.</p><p>The transceivers employ the patented beDMX protocol, which continuously monitors the radio spectrum to identify and avoid interfered channels. This allows the devices to switch instantly to clear frequencies. As a result, Sundrax wireless systems resist interference from Wi-Fi networks and other equipment in the same frequency band, ensuring consistent performance in the demanding Alpine terrain.</p><p>The maximum transmission distance reaches 1,500 meters when using directional antennas.</p><p>The RadioGate Arma enclosure is engineered for operation in severe conditions. The device functions across a temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius and at humidity levels up to 100 percent.
