New DMX Splitter for 2025 - Splitter Selective Pro

2 Minute Read

11-port splitter -- 2 master ports + 9 outputs, RDM and configurable modes in the Splitter Selective Pro

On the front panel, the DMX splitter is equipped with two 5-pin Thru DMX master ports (A and B), which provide simultaneous input and output, allowing devices to be connected in series and reliably continuing or duplicating the DMX line. Unlike conventional serial connections, where signal interruption can occur when an intermediate device fails or disconnects, Thru DMX ports guarantee signal continuity through physical connection.

New DMX Splitter for 2025 - Splitter Selective Pro

Each of the 9 DMX outputs is equipped with a mechanical switch for selecting the signal source: either input A or input B. Operating modes:

"Auto" mode is useful for creating a 10-port splitter by cascading multiple devices:

  • "Auto" mode with switches in position "A": port B becomes an output;
  • "Auto" mode with switches in position "B": port A becomes an output.

"Duo" mode: both master ports are used as inputs, and the distribution of output ports between channels is set by toggles. This mode blocks switching inputs to outputs.

Each output can transmit data to 32 devices, allowing the DMX flow to be divided into several lines for flexible distribution and amplification of the DMX signal. Multiple signal division guarantees redundancy in case one of the output channels fails.

All DMX opto splitter ports are galvanically isolated. Any interference or short circuits on one line do not disrupt the operation of other devices, preserving valuable lighting equipment. Each line is completely independent.

Rear panel

  • RDM switches for input A and input B, disabling RDM on individual lines to avoid interference;
  • Switch for selecting automatic or manual operation mode;
  • PowerCON connector for convenient power connection in cabinets. Power input and output are combined for serial connection of devices.

Splitter Selective Pro represents professionalism and confidence for ambitious projects. The splitter combines efficiency with convenience. Easy access to functions, a concise design without unnecessary details, and clear feedback -- each component is intuitive.

The Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol makes DMX bidirectional, significantly expanding remote control capabilities. Splitter Selective Pro doesn't just work with RDM -- it communicates processes and tracks statuses.

Two intelligent LEDs, one for each input (A and B), provide visual indication of the DMX lines' status. When a line is connected, the LED lights up, and when DMX data is transmitted, it pulsates. When RDM frames are detected, the LED adds yellow-orange flashes. This flickering, unlike constant illumination, clearly signals data transmission, providing confidence in the correct operation of the network and devices, as well as allowing quick identification and troubleshooting of issues. This is real-time monitoring, not post-failure error analysis.

At the core of this intelligent indication is an original controller that analyzes the DMX signal.

For full compatibility with devices that do not support RDM, Splitter Selective Pro has an RDM filter. Mechanical switches for DMX/RDM or DMX Only allow selective disabling of RDM, which minimizes the risk of failures and increases system reliability.

1U rack mounting, overvoltage protection, and instant startup -- why this is your ideal choice

Designed for professional lighting control, Splitter Selective Pro offers high functionality, flexible settings, and unmatched performance in a compact enclosure.

Ergonomic and lightweight design

1U RACK form factor with overall dimensions of 482 x 44 x 110 mm, ensuring ease of transportation and installation;

Mounting in 19-inch rack cabinets

Optimizes space in both stationary and mobile installations;

Durable duralumin housing without ventilation holes provides maximum stability in various operating conditions;

Inscriptions on the case are made using silk-screening

Ensuring durability of markings throughout the entire service life;

Wide operating temperature range and overvoltage protection

The splitter operates from 0 to +60 °C;

Power from 100-277V (50/60Hz) mains via PowerCON TRUE1 connector. Each port is provided with galvanic isolation (5000V rating) and protection against surge voltages using TVS diodes;

Synchronous operation of all components and smooth reproduction of lighting effects

Data processing and switching is carried out "on the fly" with extreme minimization of data transmission delays to the level of microseconds, which prevents temporary desynchronization of slots in streams and eliminates stroboscopic effects;

Instant readiness for operation

The device startup time is only 0.5 seconds.

As the main option for signal connectors, 5-pin XLR5 type connectors are used, but options with 3-pin XLR3 type connectors and with EtherCON type connectors for the junior model are also available.

Splitter Selective Pro optimizes wiring, accelerates setup, and eliminates equipment placement limitations for clubs, bars, stages, and touring. Despite its high efficiency, performance, and safety, this splitter remains the lightest professional selective device in its class, making it particularly impressive.
